Widening of compiler compatibility

Context

The NEMO source code is currently compatible with a set of commonly used Fortran compilers. The use of specific computing architectures, however, may necessitate the use of specific Fortran compilers outside this set and, as a result, may require local source-code adjustments to enable the successful compilation of NEMO.

Proposal

This action aims at widening the range of Fortran compilers that can be used to compile the source code from the unaltered NEMO codebase through appropriate source-code adjustments. This issue is intended to serve as a depository for the collection and discussion of various compiler-compatibility issues.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
